I have found ChatGPT to be great at taking a Create Table SQL query and building a rest API using Flask and also defining the frontend service classes and definitions to consume it. These are simple implementations that have tangible time savings. All of the algorithms and business logic needs to be done manually still. The effort to describe the desired functionality isn't worth the time. It has proven itself most valuable as a template and language translator. Provide example implementations of your desired interface and tell it to build a new one with different data structures and it's brilliant. It's great for getting new ideas, but it doesn't see them through completely and it certainly doesn't build complex implementations into the existing code base very well.
