I am only afraid of artificial superintelligence that is independent of itself or controlled by a single corporate or governmental entity with the sole goal of maximizing profits at all cost but not of one that is tied to the democratized and collective will of the entirety of humanity. I am optimistic but AI is going way too fast compared to neuralink developments being ready to give us an artificial super system that ties our biological brains to an artificial superintelligent copy of our own consciousness.
