Bad AI art is slop. But bad traditional art is also slop. The tool isn’t the problem the user is. Saying digital art is easier.. Tools change the process, not the skill required. AI can generate images in seconds, but making them actually good takes knowledge and refinement just like Photoshop, cameras, or 3D modeling. As for the ‘AI is stealing art’ argument, that makes no sense. AI doesn’t ‘steal’ any more than artists do when they study styles, reference images, or take inspiration from past works. If AI learning from data is theft, then every artist who has ever mimicked a style should be paying royalties.. but I am sure you will find the issue with the bias.. The real issue isn’t AI itself it’s how companies use it. But guess what? No company is obligated to hire artists if a cheaper, faster option exists. That’s just how industries evolve. Painters weren’t ‘owed’ jobs when photography took off. Traditional artists weren’t ‘owed’ jobs when digital art became mainstream. CGI replaced practical effects in Hollywood because it was more efficient. AI is just the next step. If someone feels threatened by AI, their best move isn’t to whine it’s to adapt and use AI as a tool like smart artists always have.. along with their drawing skills Because at the end of the day, no one is owed a job just because they spent time learning a skill. The world moves forward the smartest people move with it. and before you start to say I can't draw you can look at my page all me.. I am just not on the ai hate train because I think the tool can help artists and none artists.
