I think AI Art is good if it isn't using copyrighted artwork or legit stealing art styles from other artists by using their past art as learning material. The reason why people label it as "bad" is because the main "WaifuDiffusion" engine which was built for the purpose of making detailed anime girls in half a min with 95% accuracy and backgrounds which can take days/weeks to replicates uses a SHIT ton of artists images as reference. It has people feed it other artists art non-stop so the neural network can't just magically "unlearn" these things once it's learned it. Unfortunately, if the ai was properly maintained through builds and not fed so much copyrighted artwork, we wouldn't be at the situation we are in. Don't get me wrong, when the AI puts out an image that clearly rips off another artists art style it sucks. Now think if you are an artist and want to make your own art using your previous works as reference for the AI. That way it also can help artists visualize what they were thinking of making and the AI can help finish art much quicker than they previously could. It's not entirely perfect, but the tiny imperfections of the generation can be fixed easily. AI Algorithms aren't bad for making art in the long-run. Unfortunately, AI as a whole will replace most tech jobs as corporations don't really give a shit about employees and would rather save as much money as possible. Essentially, artists will eventually have to work with AI in the future to make their works in order to stay in business. Its sad, but the worlds moving at such quick pace that by 2030 a LOT of jobs will be automated through AI networks with helpers tasked to manage the AI. This shitty ass world will turn into a Cyberpunk 2077 Era way quicker than you think guys.
