Part of the values portrayed in the movie “The Whale” was that he just wanted to feel something for once. I have found that AI is terrible at being emotional to any extent because it is not designed to be. Many of these writing classes need to stop being so focused on just writing about what was in the text and more about how people felt about the text. At least today, it would be extremely easy to tell when somebody is using AI based on how much or little true emotion and opinion they put into their writing. As for professors, just hand out a university laptop that is the only thing that can be used to assign everything and completely block all AI.
