Hi, 17 year old artist here. When I was first made aware of how AI 'art' works, I instantly changed my entire perspective on it. It's not cool, it's not fun, and it is absolutely not harmless. However, my father, who is also an artist of many years, who has great talents himself, told me to my face that AI would take over art, and that in a few years time, nobody would ever commission me or anyone else. He said there was 'no need' for artists anymore. The sheer hypocrisy of that baffled me enough, but the fact my own father told me my art was essentially worthless? He supports AI and actively funds it. I wish it would all just stop. He even tried using my name in the midjourney prompter before. Oh the bitter irony.
