Are you worried about AI? So am I. PauseAI is a group of concerned citizens who want to reduce the biggest harms of AI, including automated internet slop, cyberattacks, bioweapons, and uncontrollable superintelligent systems. We believe that superintelligent AI should not be created UNTIL we can PROVE that it is both aligned with human values and controllable (which are both unsolved problems). Politicians all around the world are still mostly asleep on the imminence and catastrophic risks of smarter-than-human AI.
