No offense, but this guy is a classic example of living in an intellectual bubble. His viewpoint is closer to complete fantasy, when in reality, AI is no way near taking over people's jobs at large scale. Many jobs in the modern workplace are fundamentally extremely nuanced and messy, with people having to effectively think across multiple fronts, connecting dots, people, different systems, processes, navigating ambiguity, people, bureaucracy, office politics, peoples wants/needs. Some kind of super Gen AI hive mind could potentially replace entire teams in companies in the future, but we aren't near that. Even the current Large Language models are nearing their limits.
