AI is excelerating because for 3 brief COVID years, the workforce has the upper hand. Jobs were plentiful and people had options for salaries and working conditions. When CEOs tried to force the return to office, people left.
So, replace them with technology. Except they're replacing the essential workers rather than those who do computer and digital work.
The conversion to AI will decrease the workforce and increase the workload. Digital and AI work will also increase the workday for those working with international companies as time zone differences will mean round the clock availability.
With changes to health care, it may cut off insurance options for those freelancing or are in business start-up mode.
It all boils down to Corporate Monopoly, both Global and national.
