Charlie, hate to burst your bubble, but there are a LOT of people that are so vehemently against AI generated art that they will absolutely denigrate you for using it in any form, even if for your own personal purposes. Many art centric communities consider the very process of training these art generation programs to be tantamount to art theft and believe that using AI to generate art is, as a result, promoting that very theft. There's the eco communities that believe the AI used to generate such pieces are such power hogs they contribute to more environmental damage than the very act of every person in the US living their normal life, and I'm sure you know how heinous the eco warriors can be if you attract their ire.
And that's just the people I have seen personally. I am sure that, with a high profile name as his is due to that whole contest winning debacle, he's faced many more such groups wishing his computer access be stripped for daring to use an AI generator on it, if not more dire consequences, let alone for the offense of entering his 'work' into a contest with this copyright shit being just more fuel to an already burning fire.
