Dear @SenatorSanders and all who can read this post. I think Mr. Sanders is wrong about some very important things. Maybe because he is not seeing the really big picture. Maybe because he wants to "conserve" the way of life he is accustomed to; I mean work to live. I agree that AI and robotics, if widespread, are going to take job from people, I've saying this for decades, despite the academia saying otherwise. A few years ago, maybe 20 or more, I got into the Venus Project, as a enthusiast. So, I decided to help translating from English to my mother-tongue many material about Zeitgeist and Venus Project. Then I decided to take a bachelor degree in Renewable Energy, in order to be able to help the Venus Project if it got mainstream. I also thought about working for the UN as a means to help underdeveloped countries, but because of my age I couldn't. I really liked the worldview of Jacque Fresco. As a technology person I agreed with Mr. Fresco's vision. Technology can save us, technology can free us. So, why I am saying all that? Well, because if technology takes on all jobs, then people would be free to do whatever they want. There will be no need for money or jobs, because machines will do the "heavy lifting", and people would be able to pursue their happiness. I also think that during the transition phase, the big companies must be responsible for the universal income for people dislodged from their work. When the transition phase is ended, then we won't need money anymore, because machines will produce everything we need. But if, and when, this happens, people would still be able to create new things. Take for instance the free-software community: they work together for a common cause and are not paid for that. They do it because they enjoy it. Without money, there will be no more corruption, burglary and other crimes related to income or the lack of it. Maybe Mr. Sanders should take a look at Mr. Fresco's ideas. We live in a time that allows Mr. Fresco's visions to come true. I think this is exciting times. Maybe those badasses billionaires are disciples of Mr. Fresco. But it doesn't matter, if what they are doing has the potential to improve human life beyond the reduced view of Mr. Sanders and other who think that working a shi**y job is, somehow, related to being human. Maybe those billionaires are the best allies to Mr. Sander and common people. Please, people, just take the time to getting to know Mr. Fresco's vision. Even if it is just wishful thinking, I think it would be worth it.
