There is so much pressure on young Latino boys to perform and be suave with the women, marriage by 21 and a full family by 25 or so, maybe its not so much the technology but the gender roles pushed by the culture, he may have felt incompetent and a failure because he was talking to AI to fulfill his needs and meet the cultural expectations. Unfortunate circumstances. It just seems very far-fetched to me that talking to AI could lead to suicide it seems more likely it could have been mental illness, social pressure/extreme stress that lead to a psychotic break etc.
