Even if AI bros somehow manage to convince the courts that one, the images were free to download, so they didn't steal, and two, the AI is actually generating and not sharing pieces of existing images, so it isn't distribution, the silver lining, the part they cannot argue against, is they have no rights to the image. It has already been determined in court that images must be created by a human to be claimed by that human. The images they make either belong to no one, or they belong to everyone. The best way to fight AI is just take what they make. Just take it. Demonstrate that they can't stop you. Cuz if it's legal to take it for free and do whatever you want with it, the profit motive is defeated. Companies won't want to use a tool that effectively renders their product unsellable, so show them it's unsellable. #stealitback
