I work at a call center and they’ve been trying to incorporate an AI bot for years. Each time one of our customers starts off with our AI bot, they just get super pissed off and frustrated because it asks them generic questions and it only takes longer before we can actually help them and solve their issue.
It sucks for the customer because it takes longer for us to solver their problem. It sucks for us because we end up having to talk to a pissed off customer that just had their time wasted being asked tons of generic questions, and it sucks for the company because it’s not making the department any more efficient.
And nobody has the courage to say it because there’s this idea that AI is super necessary.
