Like Herr Hinton, I am also 77 years of age. After listening to this superb talk, I am glad that I will most likely not have to face the AI New World; but my children probably will. I am of the belief that because humans can do something it does not mean or follow that humans should. Can today's humans develop for AIs what Isaac Asimov developed for robotics? Based on what today's world power leadership (America, China, Russia, etc.) show, I have severe doubts. This podcast should be sent over the entire world while we may have time to make some safety rules. My almost empty glass says not!
