This "AI art problem/argument" is flawed because it assumes that artists only, or primarily, create art for financial motives first and foremost. Which is absolute bollocks. I _love_ creating art, and find the creative process in-and-of-itself incredibly rewarding, regardless of whether or not a single other individual will even see it. Let's not forget man like Vincent van Gogh, who snuffed it having barely sold even two of his pieces (and pretty sure even then they were to a friend, and for not a particularly significant price either). The guy lived his life as a nobody, completely skint, didn't get any recognition as a professional or successful artist while alive, and was pretty much destitute until his death. Now did that in any way stop him from churning out countless eventual-would-be-masterpieces during most of his waking hours? Did it fuck.
