The AI will come out first, then someone will establish the AI inside of a humanoid, and the humanoid will be more functional than an Olympic athlete while at the same time be smarter than Neil deGrasse Tyson. It's over my friends. The only real question is what do you do with all the humans? Do you kill all of them, or do you pay for them? I think they might try the ladder last. The obvious solution is to gift every human land out in the unknown. Homesteading 2.0. if everyone had a robot, we could start farms across the Nation. AI will generate food for free. Healthcare will be free. Rich people will establish armies of AI that they pay for, in humans will benefit at a basic level from these creations. The rich will still enjoy their opulence with much more advanced technology; and because they provide us with all this stuff they'll get away with a lot more. There will be a few years of transition though that are going to be really hard.
