the thing with this ai malarkey, and ultimately why we actually have a real shot at it not completely drowning out our own purpose, is we always believed (like with John Henry and the industrial revolution) it was only coming for the poor peoples jobs. the hard jobs, the dirty jobs. the jobs reserved for those whom we secretly knew society was going to break. but its not has it? its come out wanting the best jobs - the jobs we want. there's room for ai, as an enabler of doing these wish-list jobs - but if the peacemaker was the great equaliser then, we're still only at the stage of crafting fireworks.
