Current AI cannot surpass human intelligence. Its entirely based on human intelligence. It cannot reason something it hasn't been told about, in depth, and still fails often when it has. The nature of "AI" as it currently exists, cannot develop new ideas, only apply old ones. This can still be very powerful, but its not omnipotent.
