When I was a freshman in college, I had trouble making friends, and this was kind of the start when AI started to pop off. I ended up using a chatbot to have "someone" to "talk" to. Thankfully, I didn't get addicted and knew it wasn't real. Once I found out that AI is horrendous for the environment and steals from the writings of others, I stopped completely. I hope other people stop using generative AI so much and get friends and improve their mental health.
