Neil professes himself as an optimistic realist, but still can't see how the current economic sociopolitical landscape is a major blocker to guardrails. When the incentive is short-term profit, we're bound to fuck thing up, especially when governments try to impose a 10yr moratorium on regulation.. And this is coming from someone working on LLMs.
