Surely, what's needed is to create a pro-human moral code for these AIs that cannot be overridden - something like Asimov's three laws - and make that an international protocol all developers have to install in order to be licensed to do the work. And that would have to be 'walled-off' from the rest of the system so that it could never be accessed or unpicked. OK - maybe not so easy! (PS - can AI find a cure for baldness? Please let me know...!)
