There is a seminal AI paper called "Attention Is all you need". It is a play on words. I've often thought that a much better title would have been "Association Is all you need". If you drew a "curved V" at the bottom of an ocean scene next to an octopus you wouldn't think it a bird at all. This is how AI works. Association.
