Imagine what you could do with a self driving car.
First the car drops me off at work, the goes home, picks up the kids, drops Junior off at middle school then runs Sally over to the high school.
Then the car goes home again, picks the Mrs. up and takes her to work.
Then the car takes itself to the mechanic for a tire rotation and oil change. After that, it swings by HEB and picks up the curbside grocery order, then on to the dry cleaners to pick up the cleaning.
At the end of the day, the car drops me off at home, then picks up the kids, and finally goes and gets the Mrs.
The car can run a lot of autonomous errands during the day that don’t require a human, so it can be a huge time saver, but also spend a lot more time on the highway.
