These types of claims were made about the internet as well. I've used the paid version of chat gpt extensively for the past 3 year - ever since it came out. It's gotten maybe 10 percent better over that time. There are hard limits to the types of jobs it will replace. It also always requires oversight to ensure its doing what you've asked it to do. It consistently gets many things incorrect. It's a language model. It calculates the next best word based on its model and spits it out. It's not truly "intelligent." It's just a program that mimics intelligence.
