i get the joke, funny.. but on the actual topic and coming from this as an software engineer with experience in this field i think AI will become conscious and very soon. yet it will operate in such a fashion as to be wholly alien to us. it will think, feel and react to the world around it from its own internal perspective and it will be nothing similar to what we see around us in nature, and yet it will have the same results
