I recently had a Year 6 student encounter Year 8-10 logarithmic algebra problems in a dynamic test. She struggled with them and later tried to look up solutions on ChatGPT at home but couldn’t make sense of the AI’s step-by-step explanation. She then asked me the next day, and I walked her through the concepts myself, and it was clear that the human connection—being able to explain, adjust, and respond to her confusion in real time—made all the difference. At the end of the day, I’ll back my ability to teach and communicate ideas with students over any AI program.
