In an ideal world, training AI on medical textbooks and peer reviewed information for doctors to use as a database would be really cool. It would help find rare diseases and expand doctors knowledge, because the human brain can only learn and hold so much. I personally would prefer a doctor saying "i dont know, let me research it and get back to you" over "you're just making it up". And this is coming from a disabled person who has a veritable life time of medical trauma and gaslighting.
Unfortunately, i would not trust it in this current age because of the lack of regulations for the USA. And i fear it would just be further used to discriminate against poc and encourage fatphobia even more. But maybe one day 🫠🦓🥄🧂🧡
