I am in a weird spot here. Now first and foremost, support actual artists. Make their names accredited and known. Now that said, I am in support of AI, but not corporate AI. The hobbist AI. I want to see a world I can find out the inspirations for pictures and pay them attention and care. To see them justly funded for the work they do. If you train a model, I want names, I want credits, I want artists payed for anything and everything they are done. It shouldn't be hard, it shouldn't be at all. Keeping track of numbers and such is the one thing computers should be good at. For me, I use this art for icons in my D&D group, OC art, stuff I can pull up to an actual artist and get something better from someone I can pay. And as a writer, I enjoy taking mistakes in pictures and pulling up ideas why they may be, why does a rabbit have an coat sewn full of disformed bent buttons, why does he collect these tarnished little trophies and find time weaving them into his ensamble. AI, both chat bots and the art ones, there are places where you csn get it free, places you can download them onto the pc and do them just for free, but again, personal projects, credit the artists it's coming from, and when ever possible, pay them. Some DO this, let you know exactly who is inspiring the art. So tech bros feeling attacked, please step back, let artists defend themselves from these tracing attempts, and please don't sell this art. Hopefully, for the hobbyist of both worlds and the professionals of the art world, we can find ways to work things out. And let's try to keep both mediums alive into the future.
