I'm kind of mixed on this. On the one hand, every art posted online is potentially being used in AI generators without the artist knowledge. Consent or not, you won't be able to tell in the final result. On the other, it's a hosting site that has a huge database of old artwork that is infeasible to request consent for all of it. So they just take everything and apologize later. AI seems to be a problem for unique art and mid tier artists. Unique art that can be remade similarly and have "more of" is no longer unique. Mid tier artists because AI essentially takes their place. Beginners do far better than they could themselves with AI, and high end artists still have employment because AI can't reach their versatility (or they use AI in their process to work faster). But mid artists, people that can draw but are neither her or there, lose all around with AI. It can do all they can but faster. I don't think we can really stop AI once the cat is out of the bag, and at this point even artists are better off trying to work with it.
