I think there needs to be a ruling that propperly categories the relationship between ai and it's users.
I doubt AI stealing artwork will be outlawed, which sucks, but the world sucks.
What we need is for them to acknowledge that the users of ai are not "artists" they are "commissioners". And it should be handled in a manner where the 'artist' retains copyright of the product instead of the commissioner. This, thusly, would make it fully legal to just casually take anything made by the ai for anyone to use, as the ai itself isnt going to try and issue a copyright claim.
It would be poetic, at least. If the ai steals from us, we steal from the ai.
