the AI has no sentience. They are just programs who do what humans want them to do. Ai has no desire, no ambition and if some stupid US general wants the AI to steal Russia Nukes and launch them on Russia , it will do it because a program is not alive and does only what he is told to do like any other tool and he needs to find the way to do it. The same thing can be said about virologist and any other scientist occupation. Now they create vaccines to deadly viruses, tomorrow they create Ebola or SARS-Cov-2 (coronavirus). It takes human idiots to create a calamity by using knowledge they do not understand . For example Oppenheimer created nuclear fusion and US generals decided to use the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and killed / vaporized 146 000 civilians and because that was not enough for their ego , they decided to use it again on Nagasaki and killed again 90 000 civilians. By the way, attacking civilian targets is a WAR CRIME, but no one ever hold them accountable so chances are, if ever AI is weaponized ( used for war purpose) , the ones doing it, would be US ARMY.
