Just when this debate seems like well-generated, you guys should keep in mind that this is not a fair & all-logical debate—hence I advise you to not take the discussion seriously and contemplate more on the following reasons: influence & generalization. 1. Influence: as we all are aware, artificial intelligences are made by human—capable of emotions and intelligence. We are beings that allow experiences, environment, and even our dreams therefore making it impossible for us to not have preference and beliefs over one thing. Because of this, we can’t dismiss the possibility of preferences among AI due to the influence of the very makers that build them. Perhaps some AI are set in a way to promote christianity? Some perhaps to promote atheism? For all you know, perhaps some AI are build as a way to promote doctrine to the users. In our world these days, everything is always possible—everybody is capable of building anything, doing anything, and spreading anything—everybody is capable of mischief. You might think that these AI builders may only make AI as a tool for help our day-to-day activities nor concerns; but perhaps, some of them are led by wanting to spread some hidden agendas. That’s why, even when using AI, we have to always be aware and not trust them blindly, especially on the matter of religion. 2. Generalization: this is atheism against all the religion out there combined all at once. But even religions have dissimilarities of opinion. Some religion believe in one God, others believe there are many. Some believe on the existence of afterlife (abrahamic religions), some others believe in reincarnation (hinduism & Buddhism). Some believe that their god is all-good, some other believe that their god is capable of mischief (satanism, ancient roman). Any many more. Even if you try to find the red string among all these believes, you’ll simply find none. Because even on the belief of the very basic thing itself—the god/gods—are different. So how do you expect that the answer to arguments imposed by atheism are the answers from all religion? So if you want to learn about religion, be specific when researching, or you might get mislead. I also don’t recommend researching religion with AI for the very reason mentioned above.
