From Canada, but I think I have a relevant story. Twice in my memory, lives were saved when truckers, sadly, sacrificed themselves to avoid hitting many other vehicles on highway 400, in winter conditions. In both cases it was someone else's fault: someone cutting them off. The truckers drove off the highway and died rather than take dozens of other people with them. Will a driverless vehicle make that choice?
