I have a different take on this. I have 22 patterns in physics and mechanical engineering. I will never submit anything to the US patent office again. The moment your technology is successful 500 law firms open up the gates of hell on you every corporation who can use your technology steals it and dares you to sue them for the next 15 years knowing it will cost you 15+ million dollars to maintain that lawsuit. Lawyers in corporations have already destroyed the entire intellectual property field. What ChatGPT is doing is stealing the IP that they have been protecting as massive corporations. It’s doing to them what they did to us.
