I feel discouraged about how bad my art is all the time, but I've never resorted to AI (I've sometimes messed around with AI image generation, but I never saw it as an alternative to actually drawing. I basically stopped when AI started generating more competent images, and when people started actually using it as a replacement for drawing or photography).
