AI isn't gonna replace jobs, will it assist in making jobs easier? Yes, yes it will. The only jobs that can actually be replaced by AI are those that can be automated away already. An AI doesn't have rhe concepts behind what it does so software developers for instance actually understand their code and what it implies, an LLM doesn't do that, it just knows how to combine common patterns together. The only developers that would be replaced are those that mindlessly copypasted from stackoverflow years ago. AI art is similar. An AI doesn't have feelings or actual creativity so AI art can only realistically be used for placeholders, not for a proper high-quality product. But it can still assist in those jobs to ease the work for them. Even if AI was hypothetically gonna replace jobs, the economy would quickly crumble as only a select few would get jobs, and thus would get a normal mean of revenue. So people are gonna majoritarily lose trust within the economy system as they simply won't have much buying power, leaving the current monetary system useless, and thus removing the need for jobs in the long run, now where that would bring us as a society remains to be determined but it's likely less dystopian than it seems.
