I worked as an online tutor for a couple of years before they sacked all Canadian tutors. A few months before we were fired en masse, we were forced to "work with" (read: train) their AI. They literally called it "Baby", as if to subliminally warn us that this thing will grow to consume us. Being a teacher or writer of any kind in the digital age is rife with uncertainty and dread. I hope you're able to find work again with your skillset, but it's going to be hard to stay afloat.
