I was more inclined to think this a few months ago. The way LLMs are going right now though I'm seeing that there might be a bigger barrier in the way than I'd thought to get to an intelligence that can actually succeed in doing a significant amount of work that humans are currently doing. It'll speed it all up for sure, but today's LLM's are really, really incompetent and lacking in common sense and even the ability to consistently be factual. ChatGPT 5 for example was barely a step up from 4, which is basically AI progress hitting the brakes from the biggest most innovative company in AI in the world. I very well could be wrong, but that's my suspicion at the moment.
