AI takeover? More like AI fakeover. Large language models like ChatGPT are nothing but glorified autocomplete machines that can’t even tell the difference between a cat and a dog. They have no clue what they are saying or why they are saying it. They are just spitting out words based on some statistical patterns they learned from a bunch of text scraped from the internet. They have no common sense, no world knowledge, no ethics, and no intelligence. They are easily fooled, biased, and manipulated. They can’t even handle simple math problems or factual questions without messing up or making stuff up. They are not going to take over the world anytime soon. They are not even going to take over your job, unless your job is to write meaningless gibberish all day long. So relax, folks. AI is not a threat to humanity. It’s a threat to sanity.
