I have had teachers in my life who have been excellent, and inspired me to ultimately become a physician. However, I can count those teachers on one hand. The majority of them were mediocre at best, and some were actually terrible and boring. AI is the great equalizer and gives all students the opportunity to have great teachers in every subject.
And yes, I understand that AI is coming to medicine too, and yes, I think it would be a great improvement, in spite of the fact that my job will significantly change or be eliminated. This kind of technology is cheaper, faster, better, and available for everyone. It SHOULD replace humans in areas where it can. Let the teachers and doctors work as "guides" who can correctly guide the students and patients, and supervise the AI.
