I paint minitarures for a living. It's not my dailey job. but it's my passion. I included it within my hobby of roleplay and playing warhammer and miniature games. I painted for many years now and i feel i gotten pretty good at it. and i do from time to time get paid some money to paint for other people in the hobby or just other things similar. but with the rise of 3d printing and AI-bullshit, and it's technology i can't stop to worry and wonder. Right now 3d printing is amasing i do it myself. Since it allows me to make my own designes or pay others for cool stuff and print out for cheaper then many of the big plastic mini companies try to overcharge for. But at the same time a few companies out there are now providing pre-painted 3d printing. More or less printing minis that are already painted. At first these looked like crap but in less then like 5 years they gone from dogshit to an actual oke tabletop that rivals that of many pre-rush painted minis in classical boardgames. So it's just gona grow. And i'm terrified that in less then 10-15 years people will have a 3d printer at home that allows them to litterly copy a picture of google of a miniature and just print it out with the same quality. Why put 100-200h in to painting something when you can just Ctrl copy it and just print it out in a few hours? who would pay for any of this? The painting hobby feels like it would take a massive blow and risk being dead short after. I know this ain't in anyone's top priority of concerns but i bet this is just gonna suck more and more for everyone and the only shitstains that benefits from this AI generated slop is the super-uber lazy cucks that can't handle to develop any form of talent for longer then 15 seconds without giving up cause the most presitigous thing they got done was watching a 60 video short without subway surfer at the bottom. It's sad.
