Okay, I’m not defending AI art because I 100% agree with the points he’s making..
…but, AI creates based off data, or “inspiration,” from the images all over the internet and manipulates it to make it something different and unique.
The ONLY thing missing from that equation that separates AI generated art from human art..
..is heart.
Once you teach a machine to feel, which inevitably they will, and you show it a story that it must determine for itself.. what would you think it would make of it?
Also, on a side note, I see two main outcomes for AI. Either, AI will be developed in a way that will teach itself to defend and protect the world from other forms of AI that would be built on malice.. or the malicious AI will come first and develop itself to surpass any hope of us outclassing it, and that would be the end.
