I'm in the AI industry and I think Scott is right lol. Yann Lecun says the same thing. The whole argument about AI is that "this time is different". I'm not buying it 😂. That being said I do support UBI/Negative income tax as a policy. The capital vs labor issue stands without the AI hype.
