The simplest defense against the smooth-brained argument "but humans take inspiration and learn form one another, therefore generative AI is just doing the same thing" is just asking, do you really think that a human brain is exactly the same as a machine aggregate?
If that is what you believe, then why does it take a human tens of thousands of hours, across their entire lifespan, to develop these skills?
