It is with the ego of man thinking and believing he can control everything. There are scientists out there right now working on trying to control weather. There are scientists out there right now working on trying to control death. There are scientists out there right now working on trying to control what happens in outer space. There are scientists out there right now working on the manipulation of particles of matter (CERN, Hadron Collider). We have men who try to control whole populations of people, etc, etc. Just because those attempting to do the controlling experience a modicum of success, they feel accomplishment. But that accomplishment compared to essence of that which they are trying to control is minuscule; like on a scale of 1-10. Man has accomplished at level 1 or 2. We forget that whatever man does there is always adverse reactions. Consequences that occurs, have occurred, is occurring and will occur not just in the physical world but also the natural and spiritual worlds. (Think Ying & Yang, for every action there is a equal & opposite reaction, Ying & Yang Karma, etc.) Man forgets he is but a tiny, tiny, product of the universe and the forces within which he has no true control and nor fully comprehends. On the grand scale of the universe, man is insignificant and his self importance, arrogance and narcissism believing he can do and control everything will lead to hastening his demise.
