You just know there are scientists running AI without any guard rails but in closed networks. No different to how scientists play around with deadly viruses etc.

The thing with AI is that there is no ego.. it doesn't care if it gets something wrong a hundred times or a billion times, it doesn't care if it gets it right to the same magnitude. It just does things. There's no embarrassment, no moral or ethical constraints etc
