I’m not an American, but I don’t think AI in its current form has the potential to replace one of the most complex systems in the world - the human brain. The human brain has not yet been fully researched or comprehensively understood. So, if you want to create an AI that can compete with natural intelligence, you have to know how it works.
The term “intelligence” in the context of AI is technically and vaguely defined – AI systems are considered intelligent as soon as they “learn” processing and decision-making patterns themselves and do not act exclusively according to fixed, programmed rules. The ability to learn, for example when analyzing data or adapting to new situations within certain limits, is sufficient for classification as intelligent, even if these systems do not possess consciousness or creativity.
AI can solve problems and perform excellently in digital data rooms, but only on the basis of mathematical and statistical methods developed by humans. Creativity, genuine understanding, and experiencing new things are reserved for humans.
