Power plants are using drinking water for cooling? Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s inaccurate because from what I’ve seen they typically use freshwater from lakes or rivers that is just cycled thru the equipment to cool it and exits back into the original water source. These usually make for great fishing spots especially during colder months where the warmer water exiting the factory is typically quite a few degrees warmer attracts fish and makes them more active than in colder waters. There’s nothing toxic about the water coming out of these plants because the EPA wouldn’t allow it. The water coming out of these plants are closely regulated by the EPA.
