GAI will be the most important invention of humanity, on par with the discovery of fire, or the first usage of tools.
AI art in comparison is such an unimportant and insignificant debate that I truly do not care. We're building the world of the future right here and I'd be damned if being overprotective of a few types of jobs slow us down. It'd be hypocritical of us reaping the benefits of mechanical automation to grumble about eventual mental automation. Everyone's jobs are on the chopping block, the artists are simply in the front row.
What I care about infinitely more is how we'll handle equal access to AI, or to what extent a knowledge gained from AI is free for all human use. The companies right now are starting to monetize privileged access to AI. We must tread carefully and ensure the world we leave our children is one of freedom, and prosperity.
